SPEAKER_00Platforms. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. X TikTok. Before we get into the business of today, right? We have a little bit of Hallmark news that we should discuss. There's been a few things that have happened. Holiday Ever After a Disney World Wish Come True Wrapped Filming recently. And we are very excited to see that. That will star Lacey Shaber and Travis Van Winkle. That's going to air during place. Yes. Countdown to Christmas 2026. I almost said next year, but we are in that next year. Still trying to get you a little bit more than 2026. I know, I know. But that's going to be so cute. We've been to Walt Disney World during the holidays. So we're pretty excited to see that. We need to go back. We need to play another trip.
SPEAKER_01I'm with you 100%.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Yep. Let's go. Let's go. Also, we found out actually, I think within the last week that Andy McDowell is going to be in the new Biltmore Christmas movie, a Grand Biltmore Christmas, that will also drop during Countdown to Christmas of 2026. Yeah, that's pretty cool. I'm excited to see her in it. That's going to be so so good. Yes. Yes. I know we've mentioned it before. We were supposed to go during the holiday time or, you know, when their decorations were up in 2025 and we had some things happen and we were not able to go, but we still have our tickets to tour the house for the candlelight tour. And they are good through through this year. So we gotta go. We have to go. We have to go during Christmas. Yes, yes. Um, in other news, there is going to be another, well, not another, but a new Churchill Downs movie starring Andrew Walker. And what's interesting is so in 2025, we got the movie Hats Off to Love, right? Gina Claire Mason. And it was filmed in Florida at Tampa Bay Downs and the farm, I wrote it down, Quantum Leap Farm. Quantum Leap. Quantum Leap Farm. But it was filmed in Florida, and they used the term Kentucky Kentucky um Louisville Derby, sorry, which is another name for the Kentucky Derby. And I'm wondering now Hallmark officially has a partnership with the Kentucky Derby, and they are actually filming in Louisville. So I wonder if they couldn't actually use the term the Kentucky Derby last year when they did the movie. But uh but it's pretty cool. I'm pretty excited. All I know is that Andrew Walker's in it. I don't know who else or you know who else is gonna be starring in it. So that's pretty exciting, though. That'll be cool. I'm sure that'll probably premiere sometime in May. Probably, probably, yeah. Yeah, you know, so that's just a little bit of homework, huh?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say it was a cute little uh trailer for it.
SPEAKER_00Him and him decked out in his little Yeah, with his hat and his little derby suit. And yeah, it was pretty cool. Pretty cool. So I'm excited. I'm excited to see what's coming this year. And we are fresh off of the winter escape movies.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, which what'd you think? I kind of like that.
SPEAKER_00I think they did really, I think they were really good. Hallmark really, we've talked about this also, that they've hit the ground running with their winter escape movies, and we still have to review Missing the Boat. We just watched that.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_00And that'll be dropping. That'll be that'll be dropping this week. Our review of that one, the final, the fifth and final winter escape movie. But they they had a good month of January, I think.
SPEAKER_01They did. They did, they came out of the gate running.
SPEAKER_00They did, they came out of the gate running. So today we're going to be discussing the four Love You Wary movies coming to the Halmart channel in 20 in February of 2026, this month, as we're recording it next weekend, right?
SPEAKER_01Yes, we are.
SPEAKER_00And what's exciting about that?
SPEAKER_01Um, our one-year anniversary.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. I was wondering if you were gonna get it. You're like, uh I know.
SPEAKER_01You looked at me, I was like, oh, oh, oh. You're like, oh, put your brain. My brain's not braining. What do you say? My brain's not braining.
SPEAKER_00It's not raining. Yeah, our one-year anniversary is coming.
SPEAKER_01Do you believe in how fast it went by?
SPEAKER_00I know, I know. And I I had to look up the date. The very first movie that we reviewed was an unexpected valentine with Lacey Shaber and Robert Buckley, right? Um, and it aired on February 1st, 2025. So and the for our first episode dropped on February 6th, 2025. So we're getting closer to that. We're getting closer to that date. Pretty cool, pretty exciting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, one year later.
SPEAKER_00And you like saying.
SPEAKER_01What do I like saying? Love you.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Yeah, I can't believe you didn't get that one. You say it every time.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry. Um hold on.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you're supposed to drink the wine, not your there you go. I don't know. What do you say? What do you say? Oh my gosh. You know what? I didn't mention that. If you um you can always shoot us an email to pour the wine, it's romcomtime at gmail.com and let us know your thoughts about the winter escape movies or what you think about the upcoming Love You Wary films, which we are going to talk about right now.
unknownYeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Please tell us which uh winter escape movie was your favorite.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which was your favorite and what you're looking forward to the most for February. The Love You Way movies. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Let's do it. Let's do it.
SPEAKER_00Should we dive in?
SPEAKER_01Let's dive in.
SPEAKER_00Let's dive in. All right, premiering Saturday, February 7th is The Way to You. And this stars Kim Matullah and Aaron O'Connell. Now, there was no writer or director listed yet on IMDb, which I don't understand why. I don't know how the information gets to IMDb, but Kim, of course, stars in our one of our favorite, probably top two, one of the top two of our favorite Christmas movies on Hallmark, The Chris The Ghost of Christmas Always. Yes. She also, yes, we love, love with Ian Harding. So, so good. She played Hope Logan slash Fuller Spencer for six years on The Bold and the Beautiful, and she is gonna be in season two of The Hunting Wives on Netflix. Oh, yeah, we like that series. Yeah. Erin has been in several Hallmark movies, including 2024's June Bug with Autumn Reaser. Outside of Hallmark, he played Wyatt Cryer in 139 episodes of The Haves and the Have Nots.
SPEAKER_01I'm a have.
SPEAKER_00You're a have.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00All right. So the synopsis for The Way to You is New Yorkers Emma and Conrad agree to help each other find their missed connections after a subway blackout. Their search might lead to love, but not where either of them expects it.
SPEAKER_01What do you think? I think it's gonna be pretty interesting.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think so too. We just watched the trailer for it. One of two of the four movies that we could find.
SPEAKER_01Couldn't find all of them.
SPEAKER_00Um Right. I think it looks, I think it looks interesting. I think I think it's different enough that it's gonna be interesting to see. So so she and um so Kim and Aaron are I I take it that they're both looking for somebody, right? Like they missed connections, and so she's helping him find this woman that he's looking for, and of course, in turn, they end up likely falling in love. I'm not giving anything away, it's hallmark, right? So um, yeah, it looks, it looks, it has potential to be pretty cute, I think. What do you think?
SPEAKER_01I I agree. I think it's different enough where they're both they probably you know met somebody, didn't get the information or didn't exchange digits as digits. Yeah. And uh then they spend the movie trying to find each other or find that particular person, and like you said, maybe in the process end up liking each other.
SPEAKER_00Maybe, maybe, I don't know. I don't want to give it away, but you know, you never know.
SPEAKER_01Hey, well, we only have what six more days to find out, right?
SPEAKER_00Yep, yeah, yeah. We're really close to watching it, so we'll find out soon.
SPEAKER_01So, yeah, so that's the first one of Love You Wary. The second one of Love You Wary is called Because of Cupid. Ooh, because of Cupid. Uh oh. What's Cupid meant up too? Cupid. You gotta watch out for that.
SPEAKER_00Uh all right, all right.
SPEAKER_01And it's starring Amy Groning Gronin and Evan Roderick. This one was written by Amy Meyerson and Kevin Duda and directed by Liz Farr.
SPEAKER_00Did you say when that's premiering?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, you know what? I didn't. It's premiering February, Saturday, February 14th. Sorry, I apologize.
SPEAKER_00You were too focused on Cupid.
SPEAKER_01I know. I went off on a tangent. But yes, it it premieres Saturday, February 14th. Uh 8 8 p.m. Eastern time, 7 Central. So there you go. Yes. And um, we recently saw Amy in Twas the Date Before Christmas and the Santa Summit.
SPEAKER_00Twas the date before Christmas is so cute. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01Yes, it was. A lot of these are really cute. I've been really enjoying it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and the Santa Summit. We watched that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and Evan was just in Make or Break Holiday and the three Providence Fall movies, which we really enjoyed.
SPEAKER_00Yes, we did.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. This is Amy's Hallmark writing debut, by the way. She is an uh international best-selling author, having written several books. Her latest is The Water Lies. Doesn't lie? Or does she mean lying? Who knows? Kevin has written two other Hallmark films: Mystery on Mistletoe Lane and In the Key of Love. Liz has directed. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00No, we saw Mystery on Mistletoe Lane, right? We saw that one, but we haven't watched In the Key of Love. Maybe we'll have to check that out.
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah, we'll have to check that out. Liz has directed a few other Hallmark movies, including Two Turtle Doves and Under the Autumn Moon. So the synopsis on this one follows Naomi and Marcus, best friends and bartenders in Buffalo, New York, who enter a Valentine's Day mocktail contest, a mock tail contest to kickstart their dream business. After unknowingly adding a real love potion to their mocktail, they win the competition, but sparks chaos when Judges and Marcus fall under its spell.
SPEAKER_00Dun dun dun.
SPEAKER_01So this is kind of some magical stuff going on, huh?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it looked pretty this this is another one that we watched the trailer for that um Hallmark Channel had, right? On Hallmark Channel.com. The other two we don't have a trailer for yet, but this one, it looks kind of cute. And they say one of our favorite words, apothecary, which we have a hard time saying. We love going to the apothecary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you you learn.
SPEAKER_01Colonial Williamsburg. And I just have to say, I'm so glad I did not live back in them times because I'm not good with pain.
SPEAKER_00I know. But back to the movie, back to the movie. It seems kind of cute. I mean, I think, you know, there's always been this whole love potion idea. It's been done before, but you know, we love Evan Roderick and Amy Groening, so it's gonna be interesting to see. And I think we laughed out loud when we watched the trailer.
SPEAKER_01There's like a clip.
SPEAKER_00So it looks it actually looks really cute. So we'll see.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and the fact that it's it's about bartending in a in a contest, I think it makes it even more interesting.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I mean mocktails.
SPEAKER_01Drink this and you will love me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh, I see what you're saying. It's not one of those traditional, here, yeah, yeah, have this. It's like a it's a competition, but um mocktails are real popular right now. If you can make a really good mocktail, no, there are no mocktails here. No, just gonna say this is not a mock. You know, we understand. Yeah, no, I mean that's a real that's really they're really popular right now, and I know they have been for a little bit, but it's gonna be, I think that's gonna be interesting and kind of a fun watch for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think so.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Premiering on February 21st, the Stars Between Us stars Sarah Drew and Matt Long. It was written by Tim Huddleston. No directors listed yet, but I'm sure to come soon. Of course, we love Sarah Drew in Mistletoe Murders. How could you not? If you haven't watched it, please watch it. We're hoping, keeping our fingers crossed for a season three. It is so, so good. If you have not watched it, go check it out. We also recently saw her in branching out and guiding Emily. What were you gonna say?
SPEAKER_01No, I was gonna say I'm I'm waiting for that Instagram post from Sarah Drew about season three.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes, I know. I can't wait. I can't wait. Of course, I have to mention that Sarah played April Keppner in Gray's Anatomy, but I personally first saw her in a series called Everwood. It also starred Treat Williams and Chris Pratt. She is going to be in the upcoming movie Jimmy about Jimmy Stewart, which I cannot wait to watch. Cannot wait. The actor who was in Riverdale plays Jimmy Stewart, and his name is totally escaping me right now. But oh, she actually is going to play Hedda Hopper, who was a gossip columnist during those times. So that should be really good. And I also saw on IMDb that she is going to be in a comedy that is currently labeled, quote, untitled Sarah Drew and Maddie Finocchio comedy. End quote. Oh, okay. Now Maddie was just in Providence Falls. He was the other detective. Do you remember? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he was the young detective. Yeah. Or the other love interest, too.
SPEAKER_00No, that's Evan Roderick.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00Maddie was the uh yeah, yeah. He's right, you're right. He ended up being not the not so great detective, right? The not so great guy in Providence Falls. That's true. Um, Tim, let's see, we last saw Matt on Hallmark, Matt Long, that is, in Christmas Joy in 2018. He played Zeke in the series Manifest, which we watched a few seasons of that. Yeah, that was with Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dow Dallas. And if you don't know who Melissa Roxburg is Roxburgh is, she is now in the series The Hunting Party, which is really popular. People are talking about that. We haven't watched it yet, but we did watch Manifest for a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. A couple, a couple seasons, two, three. Then it moved to Netflix or something, and they aired the last season or two on Netflix, I think. Right. And Tim Huddleston wrote 2024's Sense and Sensibility on homework. Okay. So what do you think? Oh, I guess I gotta read the synopsis, huh?
SPEAKER_01Yes, please do.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Seven years ago, Kim made a connection with a stranger during an eclipse event. Now a fledgling news reporter. Kim returns to Illinois for this year's eclipse, unaware that their paths may cross.
SPEAKER_01Here's another one of those kind of mystical type movies. Yeah. And eclipses I always say it's the gravitational pool of the moon.
SPEAKER_00Of the moon, right, right. And I think it's different. That sounds like a different synopsis. And I like it when Hallmark, you know, I I know it's hard to branch out from the stereotypical romances that we see, but I I'm kind of digging these, you know, so far. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01I agree with you. I I'm looking forward to it.
SPEAKER_00And you can't go wrong with Sarah Drew. Hello.
SPEAKER_01Oh, come on now. Right. She she she's a heavy hitter, so I'm looking forward to it. So the fourth and final Love You Wery movie is called Romance at Hope Ranch. That is hard to say. Romance at Hope Ranch.
SPEAKER_00Romance at Hope Ranch.
SPEAKER_01And it premieres February 28th at 8 Eastern and 7 Central. So there you go. And this is starring Allison Sweeney, who we love, and Gabriel Hogan. No director or writer is listed yet. Hmm. Well, we'll just have to wait and see. Allison was in four Hallmark movies last year, two Hannah Swenson Mysteries, A Pie to Die For, and Reality Bites, and two Barcelona movies. To Barcelona, Boney. Barcelona.
SPEAKER_00Barcelona.
SPEAKER_01Like Bologna.
SPEAKER_00Bologna, Barcelona.
SPEAKER_01To Barcelona with love and To Barcelona Forever, which were two great movies. If you haven't seen them, go watch them. They were really, really good. Um she also made a guest appearance on the unscripted series Finding Mr. Christmas, which is also another great series. So you should go watch that too if you haven't seen it. Another Hannah Swan uh Swenson mystery in production, pre-production right now.
SPEAKER_00You know what? I think I just heard that too, that there is one that's gonna be dropping. Oh, I don't have that information with me. Didn't I I just told you it's dropping in March?
SPEAKER_01Yes, I believe you said.
SPEAKER_00Didn't we talk about that earlier today? Shoot, I wish I had written down the the name of it, but I think it might be this one that you just mentioned.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so coming soon, another Hannah Hannah Swenson mystery.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Can't wait. Can't wait. Can't wait. And Gabriel Hogan is Norman Rhodes in Murder She Baked and Hannah Swenson's Mysteries with Allison.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, I wonder if he'll be in the new one. Wouldn't that be cool?
SPEAKER_01It would be cool. I like that.
SPEAKER_00They're in this one in February and then in a new Hannah Swenson in March.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01We're looking forward to it. So the synopsis for this one is Hope Morgan sets out to begin a new chapter of her life, fulfilling her childhood dream of running a ranch in the picturesque town of Rudesso, New Mexico, and reviving the giddy up gala.
SPEAKER_00Woo-hoo! Now who doesn't love the giddy up gala? Come on now.
SPEAKER_01Hey, put them boots on and get that cowboy hat going at that tilt.
SPEAKER_00There you go. Now she, Allison Sweeney, actually rides horses. So, because I think, in fact, in Finding Mr. Christmas in the unscripted series, remember she didn't they have a horse?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. They rode it for a little bit and then she hopped off.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was one of the scenes that they did. Yeah. Now this one sounds more like a traditional Hallmark.
SPEAKER_01Hallmark type movie. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_01What do you think? Interesting. Yeah. I I'm looking forward to it. So, you know, who doesn't like a good ranch, you know, scenery, the cowboys, all the animals, horses, and stuff. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
SPEAKER_00Me too. I mean, I think I think it'll be nice to watch, especially if they filmed on location somewhere, just an escape. You know, I'd love to go to a ranch sometime.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And do all the things.
SPEAKER_00I want to go to the Gide Up Gala. I'm serious about that. Yeah. I mean, I think that would be really cool and fun. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Have a big old shing gig in a barn, a nice big old barn. That'd be pretty good.
SPEAKER_00I'm here for it. I'm here for it. I'm a little bit country. You're a little bit rock and roll, right?
SPEAKER_01Make a good combo.
SPEAKER_00I'll bring you to the countryside a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. No, I think um I think we have a pretty good lineup actually for Lovebury. I hope, you know, I hope it continues because we've had a really good, solid January. In our winter escape movies. So I which one are you most looking forward to, do you think?
SPEAKER_01I'm looking for I'm looking forward to the love potion one. I think that's a good one.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I was gonna say the same thing.
SPEAKER_01And and very I think it's gonna be like very comical, I think.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, hopefully, yeah, based on what we already want. The little trailer was funny. So hopefully that's a good. I mean, I'm sure they're all gonna be great, hopefully, fingers crossed. Um, but yeah, I think I'm looking forward to that one. And the stars between us sounds interesting too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I just would probably be my the two I'm really, really looking forward to.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. And hopefully, you know, maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised by the not that they sound bad, but it's just I mean, the way to you can be interesting too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, I just, you know, I feel like romance at Hope Ranch is more of the traditional Hallmark, Hallmark formula, and we do love that too. It's just not as different as the others seem. Although, you know, like the love potion, like we said, that's kind of been done, but it just sounds interesting. It's gonna be it's gonna be fun. It's gonna be a fun love you worry, I think.
SPEAKER_01I think so too. Yeah, I agree with you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we shall see. It's coming up, it's coming up really soon. I can't believe it. We're already done with January. Oh, I know.
SPEAKER_01So is that a wrap?
SPEAKER_00That I think is a wrap.
SPEAKER_01All right. Well, thanks for listening and also watching us.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, watching, follow us wherever you get your podcasts and on social media so you don't miss a thing. Till next time. Cheers.
