Movie Pick And Cast Rundown

SPEAKER_02

this one. Today we're going to be reviewing Key to the Castle Haunted Harmony Mysteries. It originally aired on the Hallmark channel on Saturday, May 30th, 2026. And stars Tamara Mori Housley. I don't know why I guess so tongue-tied with that.

SPEAKER_00

It is a it's a tongue twister.

SPEAKER_02

She is guess Ghessemony. Ghissemene, thank you. I have a hard time remembering that too. And Rastier Cooper as Amon.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

We just saw Tamara in All's Fair and Love and Mahjong, which we really, really enjoy. Really enjoy. And Ristiers, he was last on Hallmark in the previous Hallmark Harmony Mystery. Oh, wow. Yes. Okay. Uh it was called Buried at C, and the it was the letter C. I love the play. Love Hallmark Plays. Returning also are Marco Grazzini as Griff, Adam Fergus as Inspector O'Reilly, and Julie Lamberton as Shabon.

SPEAKER_00

Shabon. Or Shabon. Shabon the bartender.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

This was directed by Linda Lisa Hayder. She also directed the previous two Haunted Harmony mystery movies. And Craig is it Wenman wrote it. He uh has written several Hallmark mysteries, including these two previous Haunted Harmony mysteries.

SPEAKER_02

Why did your voice go up on his last name?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Wenman. I just did. Craig Wenman.

SPEAKER_00

So let's drop the synopsis on this one.

SPEAKER_02

When a ghost hunter show comes to town, it's up to Gethsemane and Amon to Amon, right? To solve the unexpected murder of the host, allowing the brand new spirit to cross over.

SPEAKER_00

Ooh. Pretty interesting, isn't it? Mmm. The crossing over. Whatever really does happen. Well, anyways, this is part of the where if you haven't seen the movie yet, uh stop us because we'll probably maybe drop some spoilers, which we're gonna try not to, especially on the mysteries.

SPEAKER_02

Um well, we'll drop some maybe some small small spoilers. Maybe it's spoiler light.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

We're not gonna say who did it.

SPEAKER_00

Who did it?

SPEAKER_02

Or who definitely was eliminated, maybe. Right. Right. We try not to give too much away.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. But stop our podcast, go watch the movie, then come back, turn us back on, let us know what you think, or just listen to us. And if we do drop spoilers, you've been warned.

SPEAKER_02

Oh gosh. Okay, so all right.

SPEAKER_00

Do you want to get into it?

SPEAKER_02

Let's get into it. All right.

First Impressions And Chemistry

SPEAKER_02

What did you think about Key to the Castle?

SPEAKER_00

You know, when we first removed reviewed all these movies, right? Before they aired, um, I said, this is the one that I'm looking forward to. And guess what?

SPEAKER_02

What?

SPEAKER_00

I wasn't disappointed.

SPEAKER_02

You were not disappointed. No, I was like, you're talking about when we did the preview.

SPEAKER_00

When we did the preview. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

When you first said review, I was like, what? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. No, no, no, you're right. You're right. When we did the preview.

SPEAKER_00

I said this is the one where I was looking forward to because you know, I love the ghost adventure, ghost hunter, you know. Six sense time vibe.

SPEAKER_02

I can attest to that.

SPEAKER_00

This delivered. So I am so happy.

SPEAKER_02

We're gonna have to tell the picture story again.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, we will.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe towards the end.

SPEAKER_00

But I I really enjoyed this. I thought it was it was light, suspenseful, fun. I thought um the characters got along well, especially Iman and um or Iman and uh Gethsemane. I loved their chemistry together. I wasn't quite sure about the little love triangle going on because um, God, I can't even remember his name now.

SPEAKER_02

He wasn't in it that much. And I think he wasn't in this one that much. He probably is in the other ones. Yeah, um Griff is the character name.

SPEAKER_00

Griff Griff. And he only had like five words, speaking words. So, yeah. So, but anyways, I loved it. What about you?

SPEAKER_02

Well, like you just mentioned, I mean, we are jumping in kind of late. We did not get a chance to watch the first two, nope, which we are going to do now. Yes, right, because we are I just even jumping into the third one. I mean, you can we were able to catch up pretty quickly with what was going on. And so I just really, really enjoyed this one. And you know, we've mentioned it before, we haven't seen too many of the Hallmark mystery series, right, as of yet. Um, you know, so we're not Hallmark mystery, you know, aficionados. But I just this one for it being the third one, I really, really enjoyed it. I thought it was, it had sort of a cozy feel for a mystery, you know, even though someone does get murdered. Um, there's like, you know, and it is shot in Ireland, so there's that part of it, which always makes a story. I think, you know, when the setting is a character, right? You know, really the castles and everything. Um I I thought it was fun, I thought it was light. I enjoyed the mystery part of it.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

I wasn't a hundred percent sure who did it until the end.

SPEAKER_00

You know, this was a good mystery.

SPEAKER_02

And we've mentioned this before. I never know anyway, but even if it's super obvious, you know, but but seriously though, this time I really I I didn't know. I was kind of guessing between a few people and I wasn't really totally sure. And so that's always great. That means the writing is good, they've kind of kept it under wraps. And then we always, you know, we almost always watch things twice. So when we watched it the second time, I was like, oh yeah, I totally recognize that, you know, like but I hadn't done it the first time, right? So um, you know, I I just I really enjoyed it. I I thought the writing was good, it was funny. There were lots of one-liners in it. I loved Eamon, right? Eamon. I loved his character, I love the way he interacted with Gethsemane. I thought that was great. Um, and then the love triangle, of course, which was kind of minor in this one. Maybe it's more so in the first two, you know, we're not sure. Um, but it still worked. I like the inspector, I like the banter. So I they I really enjoyed it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I also like Amon when the his interaction with the inspector and other people, yes, he played it really well.

SPEAKER_02

He really did. He really did.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I agree with you. I'm a hundred percent on that.

Plot Setup And Murder Trigger

SPEAKER_02

All right, so let's talk about the segment where we're gonna talk about what happens. So there's a film crew, a ghost adventurers type film crew filming in a castle.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

And you have believers and non-believers, of course. Right, right. And so the uh is he so Kent is the person who gets murdered.

SPEAKER_00

Correct.

SPEAKER_02

Is he the producer on it?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. I think he is the producer.

SPEAKER_02

Because someone else, Raj is the director. Right, right? Okay, yeah. So the producer ends up, they're shooting the show in a castle, and um he ends up dead.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, in one of the rooms. He's in the city.

SPEAKER_02

Gethsemane, she uh she kind of goes into the castle, she thinks someone's in danger because they are shooting this uh show there. She was not in the danger. She doesn't know it, and she kind of stumbles upon the TV production well before Kent dies because she talks to Kent and everything.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

So, um yeah, so he is the one who ends up murdered.

SPEAKER_00

Murdered.

SPEAKER_02

Murdered, and so the mystery begins, and so the mystery begins.

SPEAKER_00

So, do you want to set up the suspects? Or do you want to do yeah, you know, I I have to say we like murder boards, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, but we love a good murder board, yes.

SPEAKER_00

I loved her murderboard, which was actually music sheet stands, and I just thought that was so cool.

SPEAKER_02

That was a great way to do it because she's a she's a music teacher, and so she has her stands, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I just thought that was so cool. But um, so let's set up the suspects, okay.

Suspects And The Murder Board

SPEAKER_00

So we have um well, Kent was part of the the production crew, right? And he's dead. So then you have Ed, who supposedly talks to people who have passed away, slash ghosts. Um he tried to start up his own company. Um, Kent called him out on a show that he was a fraud and it kind of ruined his life. So there's motive there, right?

SPEAKER_02

Well, he had it he had the show. He was this right. He he was the former host of that show that they were filming at the castle when he was called out and it ruined his career. His life.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So there's motive there. Then you have Zach, who's part of the crew, and he he is the younger of the of the the people in the in the production.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he's probably the youngest one, right?

SPEAKER_00

And he's the newest. Um, he's more of like a runner, he he gets the the props and stuff for for for the uh for the crew. So we have him. You have Kiera, who is the ex-wife of Kent. So there's motive there.

SPEAKER_02

Always a suspect, right?

SPEAKER_00

And then we have Raj, who we find out is a gambler. So, you know, he's always betting on things other than the show, uh, you know, betting on the show making it.

SPEAKER_02

But he's always he's always owing, he always owes money. He never keeps money in his pocket because he's a gambler and people have come to take their money, right?

SPEAKER_00

And he's under the oppression he's gonna get fired, so there's motive there. Uh then you have Eliza, um has a thing for Kent. She's his protege, and she's the cameraman or woman person, sorry. So there's there's motive there.

SPEAKER_02

You have Well, because she's she's kind of got a crush on him, right?

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

And then yeah, she's she's got a little bit, a little bit of a crush, a little bit of a mentor crush on Kent.

SPEAKER_00

That always happens, right? Your mentors. You have you have Hardy, who's the sound guy, um, and he's the one who first finds Kent's body. So you have him as a suspect. And the last one, I think it's Michael Lumen, the mystery man. You know, throughout the movie.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think I knew his name. Right, right.

SPEAKER_00

Um, that's his real name. Um, but we don't know who he is, right? Or who he's a part of. Right. He's just yeah. And this is where, you know, he Raj is kind of afraid of this guy, the the mystery man. And later on you find out why. So those are all the suspects.

SPEAKER_02

Right. So pretty much you have the crew, the crew of the show, and then you have the former host. And a mystery man.

SPEAKER_00

And a mystery man.

SPEAKER_02

Right. These are all the suspects. All right. So

Favorite Scenes And Ghost Lore

SPEAKER_02

we've laid it out. Do you want to talk about a few favorite scenes? Sure.

SPEAKER_00

What are some of yours?

SPEAKER_02

Without trying to give away kind of hard. I really enjoyed, and this may occur in the first couple, also, we don't know yet. I really enjoyed how we found out who died. Right. And I don't really want to give it away, other than obviously there's a scream and people go run into the room. But I thought that that was really cool and really clever. And, you know, it like if you've seen the first two, maybe it has, you know, occurred before. We just don't know. But I thought it was a really great way um to show who the one was murdered before you know.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

So that would have been one of my favorite scenes, just the way that all played out. What about you?

SPEAKER_00

I agree.

SPEAKER_02

I don't want to give too many details away because I'm trying that's I'm trying to talk around it.

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes it's hard to talk about these mysteries without giving away something. But my yeah, one of my favorites was um so Gethimone is always talking to um Amon, right? So if you're not aware of your surroundings, people might think you're you're crazy because you're talking to no one, right? But there was one scene where um he was talking to her about about his band. He's like, I gotta get back to my band. And she said, What? And she goes, Yeah, you know, goes trying to start up a live band. And then he kind of stops and hesitates, and he goes, Well, live adjacent.

SPEAKER_02

Live adjacent. Yeah, I think I had that right now.

SPEAKER_00

I thought that was so that's some of the he had some really he had some really one of the enjoyments of this movie is is his little his little one-liners like that. It's so good, man. So good. And then his his so Kent, I mean, I guess we could talk about this, right? Because obviously Kent becomes a ghost.

SPEAKER_01

Right, because he's dead.

SPEAKER_00

But but the interesting thing is is you can't leave the grounds where you were murdered at until your business is finished, which I thought was a pretty neat thing to throw into this.

SPEAKER_02

Um well, and I even asked you at one point because you're the big ghost guy, ghost adventures guy. I was like, because we watched the TV series Ghosts, right? It's a half an hour comedy show. Love it. You know, I think we stole it from Britain, like we stole steal all the other shows. But anyway, but it's really cute. I love it. Um, the Americanized version. Yep. And um in that show was the first time I'd ever really learned or you know, really seen where ghosts can't leave the premise where they died.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

And there's a certain reason. And I didn't realize that that was like a thing. I thought that was just a fictional thing for the TV show. And then when we saw this, I looked at you and I was like, is that really like something that ghost hunters really believe, or that's like been passed down?

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

And you said yes, they can they don't leave where they died until everything is settled.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Or I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, something is unresolved.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, something is unresolved. That's why they're still there. Right, which is the case here.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

With Kent.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. And I when when Amon and Gissemini uh Gethsemane were leaving, Kent was walking behind them and ended up hitting that low force field thing, and he's like, Oh yeah. Uh Amon was like, Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, you can't leave the premises until your you know, your unresolved business is is finished.

SPEAKER_02

So Yeah, it was a pretty cool way to show that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The way they had Kent kind of go into like a I don't know, an invisible wall. Right. So to speak.

SPEAKER_00

Like a barrier. Yeah. Yeah. It was really cool. Yeah. So what about you? What's another one?

SPEAKER_02

Uh there was a cute, I liked when they discovered, and I'm just gonna say this because, you know, like a um well, maybe I won't. I don't know. I'm trying not to give too much away. I know, I know. Um where there's well, it's my favorite clue too, but um where there's kind of like a false wall. I'll just say that. I mean, you know, it's it's a castle, there's gonna be. They kind of mention it. And I love when um uh help me.

SPEAKER_00

Iman?

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no. Giseth Gethsemane. Gethany. God, I couldn't, I couldn't reach it in my brain. I'm like, Heli, heli.

SPEAKER_00

I know. Hallmark, why Gethsemane? Why do you give these hard names?

SPEAKER_02

Uh Gethsemane, when she says, you know, there should be, you know, umon has told her there should be a lever, there's a lever, and she's like, lever, question mark, lever, question mark, and then she goes, lever when she sees it. I thought that was so cute.

SPEAKER_00

That is cute.

SPEAKER_02

I thought the way Tamara played that was so cute.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And you know what's interesting? I I really love can you imagine having ghost friends? They could tell you everything, and that was another one.

SPEAKER_02

Well, there might be stuff you don't want to know. Awesome. Well, that's true. There would be some stuff.

SPEAKER_00

That's another one of my favorite scenes or scenes is the fact that Amand was kind of her ears and eyes.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, when when she wasn't around, and then he would always report back to her that, oh, this is how this happened and this is how that happened. And I thought that was that was also another fun added uh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And that's one scene where he goes through the wall and he can see it's like a trapdoor, so he's able to come back through the wall, just pokes his head through it. I know, which is kind of fun. So that whole scene, I I really, I really love that. And like I said, that gives away one of the clues, but that's all right. What about you?

SPEAKER_00

Any other um my last one is the fact that she gives Amon a ride on her bicycle. He's sitting in the back on the back, riding around, and it kind of gives you that um oh, what was that TV show? Uh Murder She Wrote, uh was it Murder She Road?

SPEAKER_02

Murder She Road, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. How she rode around on the bike.

SPEAKER_02

Jessica Fletcher rides around on her famous bike. I think that might have been in the like the the opening.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I just thought it was so cute. He was on the back, wherever they rode around. So that was cute. Because you would figure he could just pop uh in and out of wherever, you know.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, you know, there was this sort of this running theme, and I'm just thinking about it because uh there were just you know, we talk a lot about our specific favorite scenes, but there were just some things that were so great. Like in the like I mentioned um earlier, there were people who did not believe, right, and people who were fake and people who totally believed, right? Right. So Kent wasn't a true believer that ghosts existed, but his ex-wife was.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

And you know, Ed, when Kent called out Ed for being fake, it turns out Ed was actually the real deal. In tune with the gassethamine, gas Gacethamine.

SPEAKER_00

Gosphamine.

SPEAKER_02

Get oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

We are totally tearing aside. We are so I was gonna say G. When G goes to No, you can say Brown, just say Brown when Miss Brown.

SPEAKER_02

When Miss Brown and Ivan go to see Ed and Ed, because they go to see him after the murder because he has a motive, right?

SPEAKER_00

Right. At the hotel, I think it was.

SPEAKER_02

And he says, and they kind of follow him around a little bit, and Ed Ed finally confronts her and says, Why have you two been following me? Yes, and Ivan is like, two. Two. So he could, so you find out Ed couldn't see, but he could feel the extra presence there. And I thought that was really cool too.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, that was a good reveal.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I thought that that was that was pretty cool. Yeah. So yeah. And then he says, and then I thought it was really interesting there where Ed says, We're all either haunted or haunting something ourselves.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. And I was like, that was very profound.

SPEAKER_02

Are we? Are we either haunted or haunting something? I don't know. I gotta think about that one. I thought that was a really good line.

SPEAKER_00

It made me go, ooh, yeah. I know me too. Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Oh okay, Craig Wenman. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

But there was just so many good, good um little nuggets.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. And um there was one I was looking through my notes to find when Kent is dead, but they say something about um oh gosh, I probably won't be able to find it. It's about being dead, but they're still kind of playing on the joke about being dead.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, uh dang.

SPEAKER_02

Oh gosh, I meant to highlight it and I didn't, but that's all right. We can get back to it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. But you know, that was also a nice added thing to the movie was when he first died before they found the body, he was talking with Gethsemane and walking around like he was talking to the crew, but you know, the crew, they're just not you you don't realize it, but they're not paying attention to it.

SPEAKER_02

That was the part that I talked about at the beginning is one of my favorite scenes, and you just told it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought we were done with favorite scenes.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, you just talked about one of the oh man, my bad.

SPEAKER_00

Didn't you go ahead and finish it?

SPEAKER_02

If you're not watching on YouTube, Gary's face is now bright red because he realizes he gave up.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

My bad. We did give a spoiler alert. We did give a spoiler alert.

SPEAKER_00

That was my bad.

SPEAKER_02

It's fine, it's fine. We can't help it. It is hard. It's so hard because you're, you know, we won't give away who actually did it, hopefully not, or we'll have to pause the recording.

SPEAKER_00

But um can we at least say there are two things or some things that kind of give it away, or no?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

What do you mean?

SPEAKER_00

Two things two things happened in the movie where if you're not paying attention, it Oh yeah, you don't want to talk about that because that will draw people's attention to it if they haven't seen it.

SPEAKER_02

You know what I mean? Like they will definitely like if I had definitely paid attention, I might have been like, or maybe not. You probably would have.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I I noticed the one thing.

SPEAKER_02

Right, right.

SPEAKER_00

And then I think you noticed the second thing.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So we'll just leave it at that.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Okay.

Best Clue And Smart Sound Work

SPEAKER_00

All right. All right. So um what was your favorite clue?

SPEAKER_02

I kind of mentioned it earlier when um they find the trap, the trap door in the wall or whatever. Yes. That kind of led to something else. So I thought that that the reveal of that, and and you know, Tamara in that moment, the way she's like, lever, lever, lever. I just thought it was so well done and so clever, you know? Clever lever, right? She was really good. It just shows acting like it could be a question and then it's an exclamation, you know. And I I just loved the reveal of that particular part, which then leads to more clues.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Right, that part. So what about you?

SPEAKER_00

I my favorite clue I can't talk about because it'll kind of give it away.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay. Can you describe the scene or no?

SPEAKER_00

That would still it's when without the characters or no, no, can you talk about it at a high level?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

Um I I don't know. I I don't I can't do it. I can't do it because it'll give it away.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

It'll give it away. But it was a pretty interesting clue because it has to do We could probably talk about the clue itself. I mean Well, it had to do with the voice.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, right. So Well, that doesn't give it away. Right, right, right.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it kind of does because anyways, the voice was my favorite clue.

SPEAKER_02

In general, like how they discovered it, how they discovered that the South Guy just, but just yes, the analytics analytics of it all.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, there you go.

SPEAKER_00

That was my favorite clue.

SPEAKER_02

All right, very cool.

SPEAKER_00

All

Alibis And The Reveal Reaction

SPEAKER_00

right, do you have a best alibi?

SPEAKER_02

Oh gosh. Um I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

It's kind of hard because they were all really um. Yeah, it's kind of hard.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. I think uh well that's a tougher one for me. I'm not I'm not sure. I you I might have to go back to that.

SPEAKER_00

I gotta Well, it's kind of hard because they were all kind of right there, you know, in the vicinity. There no one was mm, you know, going away or, you know, was that a doctor's appointment or anything like that? They were all kind of in the same vicinity vicinity. So that one's kind of hard.

SPEAKER_02

I mean that one is a little more difficult. I think maybe I don't know if it'd be the best alibi, but the one I can think of is packing bags at the bottom of the stairs.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Right? Wasn't that one of them?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Yes, they were packing stuff. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So I mean, I guess that'd be one of them.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. I I would agree.

SPEAKER_02

That would be probably I mean, I can name another one, but I can't think of that would probably be the best alibi. Yeah. Okay. One of them.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's kind of hard because it it's like they're like I said, they're not they weren't all alone. Right. It's kind of hard to say. But let's go on to the reveal.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. When we find out who did it, the who-done it of it all.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. What did you think?

SPEAKER_02

I was surprised. I too didn't make the connection that is made in the movie, and I thought that it was really well done.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Without giving it away.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. I agree.

SPEAKER_02

I thought it was pretty, pretty good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And we're gonna we're gonna rate the mystery quality.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And the way it played out, I thought was really well done.

SPEAKER_00

I know. It was like so. I honestly have to say this is probably so far the best mystery yet out of the couple we've seen so far.

SPEAKER_02

Interesting. Yeah, we've well we've seen the three in May.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I I think this ranks up there.

SPEAKER_02

True Justice was pretty good too. But this one was this one was really strong.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah.

SPEAKER_02

This one was definitely well, I'll talk about that in cheers, but okay. All right,

Cheers And What Worked

SPEAKER_02

let's go on to cheers. Cheers for key to the castle.

SPEAKER_00

Um, that Hardy was going to Glasgow for another gig. No, that's your vegan.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, buddy.

SPEAKER_00

Glasgow, Scotland, people. That's what I was for.

SPEAKER_02

Scotland in the house. Yeah, when he said that, we're all like, no.

SPEAKER_00

Um, my cheer is just the way they portrayed the dead. I thought they or ghosts. I thought they, it's true. If you ever watch any of those like Ghost Avengers or Ghost Hunters, it's pretty much what what they shot in this movie. And I thought it was really well done. The EVPs, the electronic voice on and you know, the one part where was it Kiara had the device that sensed ghosts around? Yeah. Because Imam was like, Oh, she can't see me, she won't know I'm here. And then she pulls it out and it was it was going off, and he's like, Oh, wait a minute, I got something I gotta do. Bye.

SPEAKER_02

Right, because doesn't he say it's a fake show? And then she pulls that thing out, he's like, Oh, bye. Bye.

SPEAKER_00

So I thought it I thought it stayed true to you know the stuff that I'm used to seeing in these shows.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So that was my cheer.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

What about you?

SPEAKER_02

I just thought it was an overall really well done mystery. I thought we got laughter, we got a little bit of emotion. I thought the final, you know, there's a scene between Kent and someone else who I won't say, but it's it's pretty emotional and pretty there was suspense, pretty good, pretty ghost-like.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Ghost the movie, right? Um, so I thought that was really well well done. But yet, you know, it's it's a murder mystery, but it was kept light, you know. Now we just mentioned true justice aired last the previous week, right? The week before this one. And that was a great mystery too, but it was different. It was you had some light and fun moments in there, but this one was definitely more light, I feel like, yeah, as a mystery. And I love I loved, you know, the banter between Iman and Gethsemane. Look, see what I did there. I said you did a good one. But I love their banter, I love his one-liners, I love how they played on Being Dead as some of the jokes, you know, like you said, and Iman just going in and out and listening to people. He that actor is so good. Ris Risteard, I think. Hopefully I'm pronouncing his name right, I'm not sure. But um, I thought that was really well done. The mystery itself was really well done.

SPEAKER_01

I agree.

SPEAKER_02

And so, you know, when we were done watching, I mean, we both were like, we have to watch the first and the second one now.

SPEAKER_00

I know.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, this is only the third one in the series. We could actually catch up before another one drops, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because I really want to I want to know how those two got connected to each other.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, so which I presume is in the first one, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, and it continues on, and so and I want to see where the actual love interest begins.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the triangle or just in general, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because it kind of looks like you know, the inspector's got the the you know the front run. So I don't know what's going on here, but yeah, you know, I think I think we need to watch the first two.

SPEAKER_02

And we love Marco Grazzini because he's in one of our favorite uh movies with Janelle Parrish right in front of me. Right in front of me. So we were kind of excited to see him in this, you know. We're like, oh, and then he wasn't in it that much, but it's alright.

SPEAKER_00

It was almost like a cameo.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, it was.

SPEAKER_00

But that's okay, you know. Hey.

SPEAKER_02

All right, mystery quality. Let's rate it. Or did you have any jeers?

SPEAKER_00

Um, no, I didn't. I didn't, I didn't really have anything that really stood out as you know, so I thought everything was really good, shot really well.

Ratings For Mystery Quality

SPEAKER_02

All right, mystery quality.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna give this one an eight and a half.

SPEAKER_02

Out of ten. So we're out of ten on this one. I would agree, I'd go with an eight, a solid eight. I thought it was really well done. I enjoyed it. I think you can watch this anytime. Yeah, Tamara's so good in it, too. She's just so light and fun and airy in this, but inquisitive, and she's really she I yeah, she's her and Imon's interactions are yes, is it played very well. So good. So well written, well directed, yeah, well produced. Love that it's in Ireland. I love the bar scene. You know, we got a little bit of that in this movie. Um, you know, I always love an Irish pub. Hello, you know. So yeah, I was saying eight.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, that's good.

The Ghost Adventures Disney Story

SPEAKER_02

All right, so really quickly, we got to tell the ghost adventure story. We're at Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. And if you've heard this story before, it's fine. We're gonna share it for new listeners.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. We see but let's let's set it up. So when we first when we first get there and we're with the kids, I I had mentioned, you know, how cool would it be to see some some stars, some Hollywood stars. Because you're always seeing in the news that somebody was seeing at Disney at Hollywood Studios, and I'm like, dang, I wonder if we're gonna do this.

SPEAKER_02

Oh gosh, and this was like 15 years ago, 10, 15 years.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, it was a long time ago. So, anyways, we're walking to one of the rides, I don't remember which one it was, but I saw a couple with their kids in front of us, and I was like, you know, that looks like Nick, Nick Groff from Ghost Adventures.

SPEAKER_02

Is it Goff or Grof? It's Grof.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's Groff.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And I I was like, yeah, that looks like I mean, she's like, Who's that? And I was like, the guy from Ghost Adventures. And lo and behold, it sure was. It was him with his family and his kids, and he was actually very nice.

SPEAKER_02

And I had now wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Now we gotta back this up a little bit. Now, when I tell you that Gary was excited to see someone, this man was excited that he saw Nick Grove. Nick from Ghost Adventures and might have said that out loud, loudly. Oh my god, it's Nick to which Nick turned around. Yes, now he's with his family people.

SPEAKER_00

He's with his family, and he's got his kids, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So he graciously came over.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And Gary, like a teenage girl, said, I need a picture with you. No, he didn't say it like that. He no, can we take a quick selfie? And he was very kind and very nice, and he said, sure, no problem. So Gary, Gary takes the selfie, and we're all excited, you know, we're like, oh, cool. Now, phones were a lot different then, I will say, right? They're at a different stage in iteration than they are today. So it's not like the today selfies. However, when we looked at the picture after Nick went away and we walked on, your girls are not really in the picture.

SPEAKER_00

Oops.

SPEAKER_02

I might be cut off. I think. Am I in it a little bit, maybe half my face?

SPEAKER_00

You're in a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, I actually think we should post it.

SPEAKER_00

I'm okay.

SPEAKER_02

A quarter of my face is in the picture. A quarter of my face, people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That was my so Gary is Gary's smiling, Nick is smiling, and there's half of my face. It's fine. I didn't really know who he was anyway. I didn't really, you know.

SPEAKER_00

You were kind of like a ghost peeking your head out of a wall.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I kinda was. Kinda was. We should probably make it, you know, yeah, like that in the picture. But anyway, so that's our But that was fun. That's our ghost adventure story.

SPEAKER_00

I actually think I'm gonna post it in the in the the description or somewhere. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

All right, all right.

Final Score And Sign Off]

SPEAKER_00

So out of five quarks, what would you give this mystery?

SPEAKER_02

Out of out of five quarks overall, the movie, I would give it a four and a half.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, me too.

SPEAKER_02

Same?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was going for four and a half because I really enjoyed the acting in this. I enjoyed the story. Yep. I enjoyed the location they shot, the castle. Yep, four and a half for me.

SPEAKER_02
