Welcome And Grapevine News
SPEAKER_00Welcome to Pour the Wine. It's rom cum time where we'll sip some wine and review all things rom com on the Hallmark channel. I'm Amy.
SPEAKER_01And I'm Gary. And for our new segment, Heard It Through the Grapevine, do we have anything today?
SPEAKER_00I just have one thing to talk about today. We just did a big countdown to Christmas episode. So we dropped a lot of Heard It Through the Grapevine in that. But I did read that Christopher Palaha and Tamara Maury Housley just finished filming day one of their new Christmas movie.
SPEAKER_01Awesome.
SPEAKER_00What is it? Mistletoes and Mimosas.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_00What a great title. I hope the title sticks. I hope it sticks. Yeah, we're definitely gonna like it. She's the executive producer, and I believe they're filming in Vancouver.
SPEAKER_01Oh, wow. Okay. So pretty exciting.
SPEAKER_00It's yeah, it's exciting to see, you know, all these things start to come to fruition, to life. It's just it's so great. I'm sure we'll be seeing pictures of that. You know, they'll be dropping things. So we're here for it. We're ready.
SPEAKER_01Looking forward to it. Looking forward to it.
SPEAKER_00Definitely.
Movie Setup Cast And Synopsis
SPEAKER_00All right.
SPEAKER_01So what are we talking about today?
SPEAKER_00Today we're going to be reviewing Aussie at Heart. It aired on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, and is streaming on Hallmark Plus right now. It stars Rannon Fish as Samara and Daniel Lissing as Nate. We last saw Rhiannon in The Christmas Cup, and Daniel's last Hallmark appearance was in single on the 25th. Both great movies. We have a great supporting cast in this one.
SPEAKER_01We really did.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Lana Golja, um Rachel Blakely and Steven Grimes, Richard Brancantisano. I'm trying not to say it. And Matt Wilson. I'd also like to mention um the cinematographer.
SPEAKER_01Oh my God.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. I know. I feel I have a feeling we're going to talk be talking about something related to the cinematography and the wardrobe. So the cinematographer was Tony O'Laughlin and the costume designer was Andrew Cox. Yeah. So I think we're going to be talking probably about them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we will.
SPEAKER_00Maybe. Just a hunch.
SPEAKER_01So the writers are Ainsley Gordon and Sophie Tilson. Ainsley last wrote Love Under the Mistletoe. This is Sophie's Hallmark Writing Debut. Another debut. Colin Buds is the director, and we saw last saw Colin direct a Melbourne match.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he's an Australian director.
SPEAKER_01Yes, he is.
SPEAKER_00And guess what?
SPEAKER_01This is an Australian movie.
SPEAKER_00Movie. And saucy at heart.
SPEAKER_01And it's time to drop the synopsis.
SPEAKER_00Samara, a former lawyer, now event planner, reunites with Nate, her ex-coworker and rival, to plan a couple's anniversary in Queensland and begin to confront their past and fall for each other.
SPEAKER_01And we're probably going to draw some uh spoilers. So if you haven't seen the movie yet, we suggest that you pause us, go watch the movie, come back, turn us back on, and let us know what you think, or you can just listen to our podcast and then go watch it. And again, in the comments, let us know what you think.
SPEAKER_00We prefer that one. Listen to the podcast first. Don't pause it and then oh gosh. All right, let's get into it. Time
First Impressions Music Style And Vibe
SPEAKER_00to pour it out.
SPEAKER_01Okay. You want to go first? Do you want me to go first? Or what do you think?
SPEAKER_00Well, okay, so here's the thing. We had the amazing opportunity to chat for about 10 minutes with Rihanna Fish and Daniel Lissing. And they could not have been kinder, nope, more fun, such a pleasure to talk to.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_00We had the best time. It was our very first actor interviews, right? So we were so excited, and they were just generous and kind and lovely and fun, even though it was brief. So after you know, we finished that, we were pretty excited. And we were kind of like, this is gonna be very awkward if we don't like the movie because we like them so much. Oh my god. And you know, we're always gonna be honest, we're never gonna bash anything totally.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00If we don't like it, we'll always try to find something good. Um but luckily for us, this was just such a vibrant and fresh and fun movie.
SPEAKER_01I I really enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_00I know the music was great. The, you know, just the colors throughout the movie. It was just such a perfect summer movie, and it is the final summer movie, even though we're getting it's still August, and we're gonna get fall movies in August, but it's fine. But it's it's it's it is the the final summer movie, and it was just Rannon's wardrobe was top-notch. The way it was shot was so good. And I mean, and and Daniel's wardrobe was great too. This little casual beach where I it was it was so good. They had such great banter, you know. And I love the secondary love story that we got. Well, we really had like a few, right? In this one. So you have the couple who's having their what 40th anniversary, and it's just Caroline and Pete. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The the music met every single moment, like the softer moments were all the same type of music. The beachy and waterfall moments were the same, and they had songs splattered through. It was just, it was really, really well done. I mean, we expected to enjoy it, but um, I have to say, I think we didn't expect to just thoroughly enjoy it as much as we did.
SPEAKER_01And from the gate, it was like from out of the gate. I mean, it wasn't corny, there was no corny music.
SPEAKER_00Oh, the music was so good.
SPEAKER_01I it was it was awesome. So, what did you think now that I went on that long? I know. I um loved the opening with the shots of Seattle and the shots of Australia coastline, the music, like you said, was spot on. Yes, the outfits that they all wore. Yes, I mean, and them dresses that Rihanna was wearing. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Rannon.
SPEAKER_01Rihanna, it was like whoa. Um, and of course, it was shot in uh Queensland, Australia.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01On location, you know, it was its own character. Yeah, just like that yacht was its own character. That's such a good point, too. Yes, I mean, and just the sunsets, the supporting cast again was great. I, you know, there was no, I I think I don't even know what to think. I just loved it so much.
SPEAKER_00It was just like I said, the only thing I can think of is fresh, fun, and vibrant. And it just hit all of the notes for a perfect summer movie season finale. It really did. It just Beachy and the the romance and you know the romance of the couple who've been married for 40 years. I mean, I I guess we see that a little bit, but not that often. No. I mean, there was a lot of focus on them as well, that couple, which I thought was fantastic.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean, it was just and the other thing I liked was the map that they kept showing the progress of them going up and down the coastline. Yeah, you know, usually that's a corny type of thing, but I really enjoyed that.
SPEAKER_00No, it was it was cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
The Remeet Cute And Rating
SPEAKER_01All right, well, let's move on to our favorite scenes.
SPEAKER_00Oh gosh. Okay, all right. So, should we talk about the remeet cute first?
SPEAKER_01Yes, the remeet cute.
SPEAKER_00All right, so so Nate, um, he is the captain, capitan of of a yacht, and Samara is an event planner, and she's coming on the yacht because she has planned the anniversary trip of her, is it like her best friend? Yes, it's her best friend's um parents, right? So, but she doesn't know that Nate is the captain and she's showing up and Nate is on the boat working or on the yacht. I I shouldn't just say boat, right? I should say yacht. He's on the yacht and he's kind of getting it ready and he's spraying down the deck or whatever the steps. And um Samara is walking up. She's got flowers in her hand, she's getting ready to get on the boat, and he accidentally squirts her. He does, he can't even see her, right? Like he's he's in a spot where he can't see her and he accidentally squirts her, and she kind of like is startled. She's like, Oh my gosh, she drops her flowers and he comes off of the boat and he's you know, he's trying to help her clean it up, and then they both look at each other and they realize that they know each other. Now they haven't dated in the past. We don't know that yet, but they they worked in the same law firm. Right. You quickly find out, you know, and they recognize each other. They kind of, what does she say? Like, you disappeared and you disappeared too. And and then while they're doing this quick little banter, her best friend Liv walks up and she's like, Now I know you guys have your differences, you know, they've obviously had some sort of past. And she's like, But can you put them aside for a week so we can celebrate, you know, my mom and dad's anniversary, you know? And they're both like, yes. And then Liv's parents and Liv's husband walk up. So it's like this one after another walk up and kind of interrupt them. So it's kind of it's kind of cute. So it's it's a remeet cute because they've already knew each other in the past. So our our rating system is decant it, which is the gold standard of meet cute's sip it, cute enough to enjoy. It was kind of good, you know, it's cute. Or cork it, no spark, no butterflies. Move along, people, move along. What you think?
SPEAKER_01I'm I'm gonna go with decant it only because as a whole, I thought the the scene was shot beautifully.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And the their banter back and forth, and then Liv comes up like, uh, you know, I'm sorry, but yeah, I think you two should be together. So okay. What about you?
SPEAKER_00Um, I would go with Sip It. I thought it was great and fun and um lively, you know, we had all the characters kind of coming in at once, which was which was kind of fun. Um, you know, remeet cubes I I think aren't at don't always hit the decanate for me just because it's you know, they do know each other, but it was shot really well. I mean, I'll I'll go with sip it this time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's good.
SPEAKER_00All right, so let's get into some favorite scenes now.
Favorite Scenes Beach Reef Waterfall
SPEAKER_00What is one of yours?
SPEAKER_01Um, one of my favorite scenes was when um Samara was she was down below, um, down below deck, and she was putting together some pictures of different decades. Yeah, and Nate happened to come down and they were talking and going back and forth. And when Nate decided to leave, she asked him that you know, it must get very boring. And Nate's like, what did you say? And she goes, being uptight all the time, and the way she delivered that was so funny because you'd think it's gonna be something serious, and it just it was just something so silly like that. And I I remember just laughing.
SPEAKER_00Now, is that oh yeah, so that's that's the same scene. I had that one as um one of my favorites too, because they kind of banter for a little bit, you know, because she's like you're so uptight, and he and he's like, you know, the rules keep the world safe. So you kind of find out right away that she's a little more laid back, and he's like a by the book, yeah, uptight, you know, rule follower, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And then, like you said, and then she says the thing about, you know, it must be it must be boring. It must be boring, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Be an uptight all the time.
SPEAKER_00And then they do kind of have this conversation though. It's a lovely conversation about the couple who've been married for so long. And he he's like, what what it what it must be like to be with someone for so long to see every version of you. Yes. And I thought that that was such a cool thing to say because if you are lucky enough to meet somebody at a certain stage in your life and you can be married for 40 years, you have kids and everything, um, it's just so cool to to think about it that way. Yeah, they've seen you when you're young, they've seen you during hard times, good times, you know, and um, and the growth that you experience as a couple. And it's not always easy, right? But if you can stay together throughout, how cool that would be. Right, you know. And and she says it must feel like being home or something to that effect. And I thought that was really cool too. It was just just some really great moments during that scene that you were talking about of conversation, of banter, of really seeing what each character is like, right. What we're gonna get throughout the movie. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like I said, this was a from the start was just popping, man.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So what was one of your favorite scenes?
SPEAKER_00Um, I just love I just love the way Rihanna played Samara, you know, in this. There's a part where she's telling she's kind of telling Nate everything she wants to do for the couple. She's like, we're gonna do this, we're gonna do this. And she's got this like childlike exuberance, right? Because she's so excited. And then, and there's a part where doesn't he give her a life jacket? I don't know if she's gonna, if she's getting ready to get on, and she's like, I I can swim. And he's like, You you need to take the life jacket. And she's like, Nate, you know, that was like a little kid.
SPEAKER_01It was so cute. It sounded like our kids.
SPEAKER_00So cute. Okay, so this is the part. So that kind of leads into my one of my favorite scenes is when they're gonna hide their their she's decided to do a like a scavenger hunt right for the couple on this uh on this island. And that was, I guess, yeah, that would have been right before they got on the jet ski, right? So um, and I might be confusing the scenes a little bit, but anyway, the music that is played when they show an overhead shot of the islands and the beach, it just all it was just perfection. It's like beachy music, you know, and then they go and they're hiding the treasure on the island. Yeah, they're setting up the picnic, you know, and I I like that we didn't actually see the the treasure hunt when they're on the island with the couple with her friend. They go to the picnic, they have fun at the beach, and then the music is just so, you know, they play a game, her and Nate, and then um Caroline and Peter, that's the couple, her friend Liv and her husband Michael, and they're on this island, they're playing. I want to say like it's not botchib. I don't know what kind of game they were playing.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of like that, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but the just the music was so good. The it was the colors were so great, the um, the vibe of all of them, the smiles, the laughter, just a joyous moment on the beach. And I bet they had so much fun filming that too. I would have to believe anyway.
SPEAKER_01And to be able to light it the way they did, yeah, because it's hard to shoot in direct sunlight like that and to get and to keep the shadow off of everybody, but they did a really good job.
SPEAKER_00It was good, it was really, really good. Like every time they had like the beachy vibes, I was like, I want to go on vacation, let's go to Australia. It looks so beautiful where they were.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I truly do want to go to Australia.
SPEAKER_00I know. I would love to go sometime. This makes me want to book a trip tomorrow.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00Probably not gonna happen, but it makes me want to book a trip. Yeah. Long flight, but we could do it. We could do it. We could do it.
SPEAKER_01You can do it.
SPEAKER_00What about you? What about another favorite scene for you?
SPEAKER_01Um, this was one, it was kind of a serendipity moment for me. And it's when uh Samara was on the back of the yacht just sitting down and it was nighttime. Yeah and then Nate uh came up and he's kind of leaning on on the on the rail and he's talking to her, and then he goes to sit down and he he says that um he loves looking up at the stars at night, and then he points out the southern cross or the crux, and it's kind of like in Serendipity where um he talks about Cassiopeia, one of the constellations.
SPEAKER_00The character Jonathan, John Kusak, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And he talks about the Southern Cross, which is his favorite constellation, and it's actually the smallest one, the smallest constellation.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you looked it up or does he say that? Okay, yeah, good.
SPEAKER_01And um it's centered on the it's centered on four bright stars in a cross shape used by mariners to help find true south. And I just felt like it was such a good scene. Yeah. Even though it was green screen.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it was green screen. I know. I know. But you know what?
SPEAKER_01It still worked because even in um in serendipity it was green screen. So I I just thought it worked really well.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01So that was another one of my favorite scenes. What about you?
SPEAKER_00Uh there were just some, you know, uh just some. I won't go into detail in all of them, like when they're snorkeling, they go to the Great Barrier Reef, they're snorkeling. Um the scene uh where they go to the waterfall.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yes.
SPEAKER_00And it, you know, and it's because the idea is she's taking this this couple to places they went to, right? She's got like the the journal of the mom and who who had documented everything they were doing 40 years ago. And so each stop is a location of where they this couple went, which is really, really kind of cool, right?
SPEAKER_02So good. So good.
SPEAKER_00So um, yeah, so there's a waterfall scene, and again, it just looked like they had so much fun. So it's like the the couple, her best friend or best friend's husband, and then um, and then Samara and Nate, right? And they're they're at the waterfall, and they just have some really great conversations on their walk-in talks, and you know, like at one point she says to him, you know, in 40 years from now, if someone asked you how you spent your life, what would you want your answer to be? And that really makes you think. Yeah, it does, you know, like and then and then that comes back around later in the movie, you know, which we won't get into, but um, but I there were just so many lovely moments like that. I just I really enjoyed this from you know, from the beginning to the end. And um, and I'm so glad because otherwise I know, I know. We're like, well, you know, it's okay, but no, I mean, it was just such a joy. And the two of them, you know, Rihanna and Daniel together, what a pairing, first-time pairing for the two of them, right? Just so great.
SPEAKER_01You would think that they've been acting together since childhood.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they were both so so good. And when you think about it, they're really I mean, the supporting cast that they were in it the whole time. I know, right? Like it was not just them, but it was just them, but it worked because sometimes we get these movies and it's like four people and it's just flat. Yeah, you know, it falls flat. This had so much energy, so much life, um, so many things that you can learn from it, right? The like they're talking about love that lasts through the times, and right, you know, and I just I thought it was I yeah, it was great. So any other favorite scenes from me for you?
SPEAKER_01Um, I just had one last one, and that's when Liv faked her pregnant. Yes, she faked her pregnancy sickness.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, just her morning sickness, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Just to get Nate and uh Samara on the jet ski to go to the island uh for dinner or lunch. Um I just thought it was so funny and she played it so well. And then when they when they started, uh when Nate and and Samara drove off, um Liv was like, okay, now let's get ready because I'm hungry.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm not gonna miss it because they were going, they were taking the jet ski to an or to the restaurant, right? To go to the restaurant, right? Right, yeah, yeah, that was really great. And you know, when they're on the jet ski, there's a really great song. I I didn't write it down, but I'm like, there were so so many great, there were great songs in this, and it was a great soundtrack. Yep, it sure was great composed music. Where is the soundtrack hallmark?
SPEAKER_01I know we need to be able to do that.
SPEAKER_00Start putting these on like Spotify or you know, wherever, Apple music or wherever. Just put together soundtracks for these movies because some of them are so good.
SPEAKER_01It's really good.
SPEAKER_00So good, really good, yeah. And then of course, you know, the ending, which we won't give away, but y'all know what happens.
SPEAKER_01Come on, come on. Of course, it's a hallmark movie.
SPEAKER_00It's a hallmark movie, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So what did you have any more favorite scenes? Or was that well let's go into the chemistry of these two?
Chemistry Score And Why It Grows
SPEAKER_01So we have house wine, which is forgettable or lacking chemistry.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh we use estate warm chemistry, and then we have grand reserve, or as I like to call it, grand crew. Grand crew. Electric chemistry, it's on fire. It's on fire. What are you giving this one?
SPEAKER_00So, what am I what bottle am I uncorking?
SPEAKER_01Uncorking, yep. Yep, yep.
SPEAKER_00Um, I'm gonna go. I I think it it, you know, they weren't, I would say it started off a state where they had warm chemistry because they Had this just this great banter back and forth.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And then it turned into like Grand Reserve when they really, you know, the end, the kiss was really good.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. At the end. Yes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. The kiss was really good. So I would say it started off really warm, even though they were kind of they weren't really battling each other, but they had some, you know, a little bit of friction, just you know, their light banter, um, because of their different personalities. But um, but then it moved into Grand Reserve. What about you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm going to go in corking reserve. I and like you, it grew. And it was funny because every scene that they um that they took the parents to, yes. Like the treasure hunt, the restaurant, the waterfalls, the the gold coast, their their chemistry grew stronger and stronger. So, like you said, by the end, it was fire. So and that kiss was oop, okay.
SPEAKER_00Oh, bro.
SPEAKER_01So, yes, I'm uncorking the grand crew or reserve.
SPEAKER_00All right, let's talk about wait what? Did
Wait What Moments And Small Jeers
SPEAKER_00you have any wait what moments that you couldn't really? Yes.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what did you is it a coincidence that Samaro was in Double Ponytails? Kind of, kind of like Dorothy was in A Wizard of Oz, because what were they playing throughout the movie?
SPEAKER_00It really sounded like somewhere over the rainbow. Yes, like a version of it. It was getting there kind of it reminded us so much of You've Got Mail music. Oh, we heard it, we're like, oh my gosh, it sounds like you've got male.
SPEAKER_01And I and it just dawned on me. I was like, wait a minute, she looks like Dorothy.
SPEAKER_00You did, yeah.
SPEAKER_01You actually and the music was playing, and I'm like, wait a minute, I would like to know.
SPEAKER_00So I don't know if it was purposeful. We never kind of got the full, but it yeah, man, it sounded like it in the background. It sure did. Oh, that's a good wait what? Because that's not like an unrealistic wait what? That's like a did you see what had happened was her hair matched Dorothy's.
SPEAKER_01Yep, and the song was playing, and so put two to two, two and two together. And guess what?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_01You get four. Anyways, what about you? Did you have a wait what?
SPEAKER_00Um, the only one is the green screen. I I know you have to do it sometimes. Right. I just uh I feel about it. And I understand maybe they had to reshoot it. And I mean, maybe it wasn't at night on the boat when they, you know, when they were sitting together, that part was fine. But it was when like Nate is standing right. I don't know if it's the bowel names of the different parts of the boat, but and you see the stars, and I'm like, but you know, that's a minor thing. I can I can overlook that because of the rest of the movie. And it was only in that scene, or so I thought. If if there was green screen elsewhere and I didn't notice it, that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, yeah. I agree.
SPEAKER_00All right, so let's go on to cheers and jeers. Let's talk about our cheers, which we've kind of talked about all along, but yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And and mine was everything that uh Samara recreated for Caroline and Pete. I just thought that was so thoughtful, you know. And if somebody did that for us, I'd be like I would cry.
SPEAKER_00I know, I know.
SPEAKER_01It was so sweet, you know, from the first time they met all the way until they got married. I just thought in the decades in details, the title of her photos. Yes, I thought that was so, so good.
SPEAKER_00And you know what was so good was that too, when they were talking about um like when they were referencing the 80s or something, they were the music was like um jazzy, like the saxophone from the 80s. You know, I kept thinking of like um St. Emil's Fire, you know. And um, it was just the way the composed music was throughout it was so good. So, like if you were talking about the 80s, that's what you got if you're at the B. So yes, I agree.
SPEAKER_01It was beautiful.
SPEAKER_00I agree with that. I I look I really liked a big cheer for me was the message of you know, sort of Nate and um Samara, mostly Nate, you know, is like, how did you get so lucky, lucky? Right, right, to the couple or or to the to Peter, right, the husband, you know, for so long. And he's like, Look, we put a lot of hard work in, you know, when you meet someone who makes it all worth it, you do everything you can to hold on to it. Right. And I was like, that's another really good message. I'm gonna go to the case.
SPEAKER_01That's a really, really good, good message.
SPEAKER_00And then he said something like, you can't look at everything like it's already failed. Right. You can't like risk management to it to death, right? Like, which is what kind of Nate does. He looks at everything and like risk versus reward, yeah, right, and rules and all of that. So I thought that was that was really great. I loved, I mean, we've talked about all of it. The the chemistry between Rhiannon and um and Daniel was so good. Even if it started off, you know, just warm and you know, not like fire, fire chemistry. It was just, it was just so great, so natural between the two of them. They were both just really, really good. Um, I love the secondary love story in general. I love the whole idea, like you just said, about going to the places that they had been, you know, like the 40-year anniversary. I love the friendships between Samara and Liv. I love their moments, and I also loved the brother.
SPEAKER_02Billy.
SPEAKER_00You know, he wasn't in it too terribly much, but he was their scenes were really good between the brother Billy and Nate.
SPEAKER_01Well, I like how because it was their father's boating business, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I love how Billy wasn't jealous of Nate. He just he went along and but he encouraged Nate, you know, to go after Samara and and to get his dream. And um, and then Nate finally, you know, you know, handed over the reins, or as Samara would say, wheels. The wheel.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and the wheel. So I thought that was really cute.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I mean the supporting cast in this, bravo, man. Bravo.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, that's a really good point though about the brother. We didn't have like the stereotypical, like, you know, I've been here working all this time and you just come in and take over the business. You know, you didn't have any of that. They had a great relationship. That was that was really well done.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00The music, the way it was shot, all of it just really, really well done.
SPEAKER_01Yep. I agree.
SPEAKER_00All right. Did you have any jeers?
SPEAKER_01No, I did not. What about you?
SPEAKER_00Um, the only jeer that I had, other than the green screen, I didn't feel like the dad part was necessary. That was the only part that I I know we needed it to get the rub, right? Like the the eventual conflict between um Nate and Samara, but I just I don't know. I felt like that was sort of a unnecessary part of the movie. But you know, I know we needed it. I just felt like that was unnecessary.
SPEAKER_01You're right.
SPEAKER_00It was kind of secondary. I have to say her wardrobe was so good. I mean, all of it was really good. But Rihanna's was so her clothes were so stinking cute. I just I adored it. I thought it was that was I agree. All right, so who would you have a glass of wine with? Who would you which character, not actor or actress, but which character would you?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna break this because I just felt like all around it was a great job. Now, I would have one definitely with Rihannon. But I I would just love to have sit down and have one with the whole crew, man.
SPEAKER_00Well, you said Rihannon, but oh, so you're going with real people. It's supposed to be the character.
SPEAKER_01No, I know. I'm just saying, and and I would I would definitely have one with the whole crew, but yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_00For sure we would.
SPEAKER_01Is so or Samara. Samara. Yeah, her character was so fun and so genuine. I would love to have a glass of wine with her.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01What about you?
SPEAKER_00I would I think it would be cool to sit with both Samara and Nate and just listen to their banter. Okay. I could listen to the Australian accent.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, all night.
SPEAKER_00All night long, you know what I'm saying? But um I could do that all day long. But um, but just the two of them together and just in their characters, you know, Samara and Nate, and just uh the way they were and their banter, and just you know, yeah, I agree with both of them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01All right. So
Final Rating And How To Connect
SPEAKER_01final pour. How many quarks are you going to give this one?
SPEAKER_00I I I gotta tell you.
SPEAKER_01It's hard, right?
SPEAKER_00I really, really enjoyed this movie, and I was trying to think about other movies that I have given this rating to, and I have to go a five.
SPEAKER_01I know. I told you.
SPEAKER_00I really feel like this is a five.
SPEAKER_01It's a five for me. It's definitely a five.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I can't say all the things that we said and then give it like in the fours. I just can't do it.
SPEAKER_01No, I can't do it. It all around was a really enjoyable and even the second time, because you know, again, we watch it the first night when it airs just to enjoy it. Yeah, and then the second time we we take the notes and um and still enjoy the movie, but man, I'm telling you, the before I knew it, the movie was over, and I'm like, yes, that was fast. Yes. So yes, a five for me too.
SPEAKER_00I I think the writing was so good. I I just enjoyed it. It was just it was so good. I mean, that's the way you can do it, Hallmark. Yeah, you know, and that's the way you can do it. And we forgot to mention that the director, Colin Buds, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. There's something in the movie. Is it like a restaurant? Is it like a restaurant? Yeah, I meant to write it down and I forgot it was like a sign. And I'm like, did they do that on purpose or does that really exist?
SPEAKER_01You know they did.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I thought that that was so cute. So cute. Oh wow.
SPEAKER_01So that was good. All right. So is that a wrap?
SPEAKER_00That is a wrap.
